Nadine Shank

shankNadine Shank is Professor of Piano and Collaborative Piano at UMass Amherst and is Principal Pianist with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. She made her concert debut at age fifteen, performing the Prokofiev Concerto No. 1 with the World Youth Orchestra, Interlochen, MI. Other awards include MTNA, Mason and Hamlin, National Federation of Music Clubs, Oberlin: Rudolph Serkin, Pi Kappa Lambda Piano Prizes. Indiana University Concerto Competition. She has performed in festivals in England, Scotland, Germany, Virgin Islands, Netherlands, Croatia, Canada, Phillips Collection D.C., Edinburgh Fringe, Blossom, Monadnack Music, and Mohawk Trail Festivals. She soloed with the West Point Band, the Springfield Symphony and recently made the first CD recording of the David Maslanka Concerto No. 3 with UMass Wind Ensemble. Ms. Shank has recorded 17 CDs and her Play-Alongs for Saxophone and Clarinet have been used by educators and students for several decades.
