Mikayla Farmer (UMass student)

Mikayla Farmer is a well-versed performer, holding a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and currently completing a Masters degree in Flute performance at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Mikayla has performed in Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, NYC, Vermont, Massachusetts, Virginia, Quito (Ecuador) and Ede (Netherlands). While she emphasizes her ability in contemporary music and low flutes, Mikayla finds enjoyment in performing all areas of music. During her time at BGSU, she held the position of principal flute of the BGSU Wind Symphony, the top wind ensemble at the university. At UMass-Amherst, Mikayla holds a rotating principal chair within the Wind Ensemble, the top ensemble at that university.
